Since fall of 2016, I have been employed at LinkedIn as a senior audio engineer. Responsibilities include developing and standardizing audio software/hardware routing for remote and on-site recording sessions, mixing, mastering, editing dialogue, restoring problematic or distracting audio, creating foley, boom operating, coaching recording artists through audio hardware and software setup, and working with screen capture and streaming tech to produce high quality content.
During my enrollment at Ohio University, I established the media archival department at the Glidden Library of Music and Dance. There, I was responsible for making digital backups of the old student, faculty, and visiting artist recitals that were recorded onto tape cassettes, reels, and vinyl records. I was also responsible for archiving audio for the professors to use in class.
In addition to audio archival, I also worked as an engineer, recording recitals for Ohio University's School of Music. Responsibilities included communicating with the artists, placing microphones, tracking, post processing, and uploading the finished files to our server for students to use in portfolio work, applications, and more.
Since my time at Ohio University, I have been tracking, mixing, and mastering for musical artists, consulting for stream and podcast audio setups, editing dialogue, processing audio for restoration work, creating foley, archiving media, and much more.
